Customer Service Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:

Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC) is looking for a Customer Service Specialist to provide our Partner Agencies with excellent customer service while assisting with food order processing.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for agency partners and others visiting the Agency Services and Order Pick-up area.
  • Answer calls about individual orders, delivery times, product availability, billing, etc.
  • Ensure partner agencies are complying with check-in, order pickup and shop-thru procedures
  • Notify the warehouse staff of agencies who have checked in for their order pick ups.
  • Work closely with Inventory and Warehouse teams to investigate and resolve discrepancies with orders.
  • Print daily orders, review orders for errors and appropriateness and generate invoices.
  • Add/remove product from orders and modify invoices according to changes.
  • Run reports for Norton Rd food locker order fulfillment.
  • Upload customer orders to inventory management system and print orders/pick tickets to the warehouse (1 or 2 days per week).
  • Create and distribute local and rural delivery schedules (1 or 2 days per week).
  • Create and distribute product removal/recall information to partner agencies when needed.
  • Order office supplies.
  • Assist in Agency & Program Services projects as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Certifications: High School Diploma/GED required. Food Safety Certification (provided by Mid-Ohio Foodbank).

Experience: At least one year of experience in customer service or other position working with external customers. Some experience in a social service setting required. Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of database operations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to work effectively, independently and in a team environment. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Willingness to adjust to changing priorities. Good interpersonal skills. Candidates must represent Mid-Ohio Foodbank with professionalism when interacting with clients, volunteers, community members and Foodbank staff.
