Data Insights Project Manager

SUMMARY:  The Data Insights and Project Manager provides strategic guidance and insight for internal MOFC operations and external customer insights through the use of data analysis and fact-based argumentation. The individual will create value by identifying appropriate data and applying comprehensive statistical modeling to create analysis and insights that will be used to support policy positions and identify implications for the business. The incumbent will build off of current models while also developing new analysis and models. The insights derived from this analysis will be used to inform stakeholders. The individual will partner with other individuals within the Strategy and Innovation team, as well as the overall company to provide clear analytical impacts that enhance or provide new insights to help MOFC meet their mission.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Through robust statistical modeling, analyze and articulate the impact of MOFC to help Feed the Line and End the Line.
• Assist in developing new insights and analysis on the impact of food distribution for the business and the appropriate fundraising opportunities.
• Contribute to the development of short-term and long-term data and insights strategies around MOFC strategic direction.
• Identify and lead statistical analysis of data and databases to develop compelling arguments.
• Provide analysis and insights to advance MOFC's development of a robust data and insights platform.
• Partner with key cross-functional stakeholders to inform and assess impact of efforts leveraging data and insights gathered from internal and external sources.
• Assist in leading research efforts of various nutrition, health, and other SDOH related fields that guide policy to enable the company to identify issues and trends in advance to be pro-active rather than reactive.
• Leverage Project Manager skills on assigned strategic projects across organization as needed.
• Support development team with advanced analytics and modeling in the development of new grants and funding opportunities.
• Contribute to continued evaluation of the effectiveness of analysis and advocacy materials to enhance future efforts.
• Strategic projects as needed.

 EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education and Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Data Science, a research-based focus or a related field. Master's Degree preferred.

 Experience:  At least 7-10 years of Data, Insights, and/or Research experience required. At least 7+ years of experience and practical application of relational databases and reporting systems. Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Sharepoint. Advanced knowledge of data and insights languages and systems preferred (including Tablue, R-Modeling, AI, ML).

 Skills/Competencies:  Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to represent MOFC with professionalism when interacting with stakeholders. 

 JOB CONDITIONS:

Working Conditions:  Normal office/remote environment. Travels within Foodbank territory as necessary.
