JOB TITLE:

Agency Relations Manager - Contiguous Counties

STATUS:

Full Time, Exempt

REPORTS TO:

Director of Distribution Partnerships

DIRECT REPORTS:

Program Coordinator - Franklin County

SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing the on-boarding and monitoring of Mid-Ohio Foodbank (MOF) partner agencies and ensuring that capacity building opportunities and regional meetings are organized and facilitated across 11 of the 20 counties services by the Food Collective.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Ensure MOF partners operate according to regulations and guidelines set by Mid-Ohio Foodbank, Feeding America, Ohio Association of Foodbanks, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services & United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)
  • Conduct initial site reviews with feeding sites and produce programs to determine if agencies are suitable for MOF membership
  • Conduct orientation for new partners; coordinate annual site visits with existing partners; and conduct additional visits with partners as needed coordinates with Orders and Customer Service and Transportation regarding scheduling accuracy of programs.
  • Trains and orients all new agencies to Pantry Trak, point of contact for Pantry Trak inquiries from agencies, provide periodic Pantry Trak refresh trainings
  • Inform partners of all food programs, trainings opportunities and other services they are eligible for as members of the MOF network. Make connections between MOF agencies operating in the same region. Inform partners of other non-MOF feeding programs and support service programs available in their local community
  • Provide excellent customer service to partners. Handle agency inquiries by telephone, emails, visits and/or correspondence.
  • Maintain, review and update partners files, certifications and program profiles; provide data and information on agency activities as needed
  • Assist in readiness for all audits of MOF regarding agency files and accounts
  • Work with Director of Programs and Agency Partnerships, and team members in the development of annual produce distribution plan.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and group trainings to build partners capacity to: achieve/maintain compliance standards; develop ability to distribute more meals; collaborate with other feeding programs to effectively support the needs of a given geography/neighborhood; connect/refer households served with other support services & benefit programs available
  • Serve low-income households in ways that are respectful and meaningful
  • Assist in planning and facilitating agency-related events including annual conference, regional meetings, workshops and recognition events
  • Serve as Mid-Ohio Food Collective representative at local community coalition meetings related to hunger and work to develop consistent county-wide meetings and rural council representatives.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education and Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in related field required. Must have a valid Driver's License. Food Safety Certification (provided by Mid-Ohio Food Collective).

Experience: At least five years of experience working in a social service or non-profit capacity.

Skills/Competencies: Ability to work effectively in a team environment with proven success leading teams to achieve set goals. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Willingness to adjust to changing priorities. Good interpersonal skills. Candidates must represent Mid-Ohio Food Collective with professionalism when interacting with clients, volunteers, community members and Food Collective staff.

JOB CONDITIONS:

Working Conditions: Normal office environment. This position travels regularly within the Food Collective network (approximately 50-70% travel). Reliable transportation is required. Applicants must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for employment.
