JOB TITLE:

Interim Market Lead

STATUS:

Full Time, Non-exempt

REPORTS TO:

Mid-Ohio Market Manager

DIRECT REPORTS:

None

SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Market Manager, this position will be responsible for supporting day- to-day operations of the Mid-Ohio Market. This position will also provide oversight and coaching of the Market Specialist team, volunteers and any temporary employees. The Team Lead is ultimately responsible for consistently reflecting MOFC's core values of Customer-Centric, Trustworthy, Innovative Learning and One Team.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Provides excellent customer service to all those who visit the Market.
  • Trains and engages volunteers who support daily operational tasks and special projects.
  • Coaches and mentors Market Specialists in a non-supervisory capacity.
  • Coordinates with Market Manager on leadership of the team and ensures all tasks are covered by staff and volunteers.
  • Preps and stocks product for the Market and works with the Market Manager to ensure consistent product ordering.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following safety practices and policies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment that accurately reflects MOFC's brand and commitment to excellence.
  • Provides continuity in program leadership when the Market Manager is not on-site.
  • Participates in special projects as requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Licenses/Designations: Food Safety Certification (provided by Mid-Ohio Food Collective). Equipment Operator Certification (provided by Mid-Ohio Food Collective).

Experience: At least one year of experience providing excellent customer service. One year of warehouse experience including use of electric pallet jack. Working knowledge of general warehouse machinery and operations.

Knowledge: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.

Skills/Competencies: Must have good customer service and communication skills. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and in a team environment.

JOB CONDITIONS:

Working Conditions: This job requires working some evening and weekend hours. Must be able to: perform moderate to heavy physical labor (must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.). Daily walking, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling. Must work in various climate temperatures (coolers, warehouse, etc.). Applicants must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for employment.
