SUMMARY:
Responsible for coordinating key aspects of the Mid-Ohio Foodbank (MOF) grant process including, new funder identification, preparing and submitting applications and reports, and coordinating post-award administrative and stewardship activities to secure grant funding, which furthers Mid-Ohio Foodbank's mission.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Coordinate pre-award and post-award activities including applications, reports, gift acknowledgements, publicity, and additional funder stewardship and grant related administrative tasks.
- Coordinate, prepare and submit grant applications and reports per funding requirements.
- Collaborate within internal partners to gather the data and information needed for grant applications and reports.
- Compile and track program data and statistics for grant activity reporting system and related files.
- Coordinate grant related administrative activities including updating and maintaining grants calendar and associated grant files.
- Prepare materials and information for use in pre- and post-award meetings with team members and other internal and external stakeholder.
- Research, identify and prepare documentation related to potential funding opportunities that will support MOF programs and goals.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal team members and grant funders.
- Supports other administrative duties within the department as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education and Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in related field is preferred.
Experience: Experience in prospect research and identification, data collection and analysis, outcome measurements and reporting results. Knowledge of community, corporate and family foundations in MOF service area. Demonstrated knowledge of fundraising and proven success of goal attainment. Knowledge of grant research and proposal writing practices and principles.
Skills/Competencies: Proficiency with Microsoft tools, excellent written and oral communication skills. Must possess outstanding research, writing, proof reading, planning, organizing, conceptual and strategic/critical thinking skills. Must be able to communicate in a compelling and succinct manner. Ability to work independently as well as with a team. Must be able to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and be flexible to changing priorities.
JOB CONDITIONS:
