Coordinates the maintenance and upkeep of Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC) facilities. Assists with oversight of
external vendors performing contracted facilities and building maintenance.


  • Assists with the management of external contractors performing facility and building maintenance.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for facility and building maintenance issues.
  • Partners with Facilities/Maintenance Manager to uncover and remedy any facilities and building issues.
  • Maintains supply of tools and equipment used to perform repair and maintenance work.
  • Orders new tools and equipment as needed.
  • Meets with external contractors and assesses capability to perform work.
  • Performs general maintenance and upkeep of MOFC facilities internally and externally.
  • Responds to maintenance emergencies (may be outside of normal working hours).


Education and Certifications: High School Diploma is required.

Experience: At least three years of building maintenance experience. Working knowledge of commercial electrical, remodeling, construction, and HVAC systems is preferred. Knowledge of external contractor market and current commercial building codes. Working knowledge of control systems. Working knowledge of forklifts, and warehouse operations. Applicants must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for employment.

Skills/Competencies: Good general commercial construction and building maintenance skills. Good computer skills. Must be able to multitask, be organized, and have good verbal/written communication skills as the job will interact with all levels of management. Customer Service skills is required as well as the ability to follow safety protocols and adhere to OSHA standards.


Working Conditions: Safety-sensitive position due to regular interaction with heavy machinery. Must be able to:
perform moderate to heavy physical labor (lift 30 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally). Daily walking, bending,
reaching, pushing, and pulling. Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching. Must work in refrigerated
and sub-freezing temperatures for extended periods. Some night and weekend work will be required.
