This position will be responsible for supporting day- to-day operations at the Mid-Ohio Market. This position will also provide oversight and coaching of volunteers and any temporary employees. The Market Specialist is ultimately responsible for consistently reflecting MOFC's core values of Customer-Centric, Trustworthy, Innovative Learning and One Team.


  • Provides excellent customer service to all those who visit the Market.
  • Trains and engages volunteers who support daily operational tasks and special projects.
  • Coordinates with Market Manager and Team Lead to ensure all tasks are completed to operate the Mid-Ohio Market.
  • Preps and stocks product for the Market.
  • Registers customers and helps them shop as necessary.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following safety practices and policies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment that accurately reflects MOFC's brand and commitment to excellence.
  • Participates in special projects as requested.


Education: High School Diploma/GED

Licenses/Designations: Food Safety Certification (provided by Mid-Ohio Food Collective). Equipment Operator Certification (provided by Mid-Ohio Food Collective).

Experience: At least one year of experience providing excellent customer service. One year of warehouse experience including use of electric pallet jack. Working knowledge of general warehouse machinery and operations.

Knowledge: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook is desired.

Skills/Competencies: Must have good customer service and communication skills. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and in a team environment.


Working Conditions: This job requires working some evening and weekend hours. Must be able to: perform moderate to heavy physical labor (must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.). Daily walking, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling. Must work in various climate temperatures (coolers, warehouse, etc.). Applicants must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for employment.
