JOB TITLE: Annual Giving Coordinator
STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Annual Giving Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: None
SUMMARY: The Annual Giving Coordinator ensures that donors experience high-quality interactions with the organization through communication and stewardship, donor recognition, and nurturing relationships. The position also solicits gifts, educates our constituencies, and creates passion for supporting the work of Mid-Ohio Foodbank.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Manage a portfolio of mid-level donor relationships to engage individuals throughout the annual giving process and beyond.
- Manage Pledge Partners monthly giving program including solicitation and stewardship.
- Execute cultivation strategies for annual donors.
- Cultivate and solicit mid-level gifts from the portfolio of donors.
- Partner with marketing and communications on the implementation of robust social media strategies to drive digital funding.
- Manage donor recognition programs and societies.
- Manage third party events by working with external event organizers, assessing needs, and coordinating internal involvement.
- Implement strategies to convert food drive organizers to third party event organizers.
- Creates and distributes year-end letters and special request acknowledgements.
- Conducts on-site donor relations including facility tours.
- Collects, compiles and authors stories of impact to share with donors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education and Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience is required.
Experience: At least two years of development experience with an emphasis on cultivating, stewarding and soliciting gifts from individual donors. An understanding of gift acknowledgement, donor cultivation and gift solicitation is required. Candidates should possess excellent oral, written and presentation skills and be computer literate.
Skills/Competencies: Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent customer service. Ability to manage multiple tasks. Willingness to adjust to changing priorities. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to represent Mid-Ohio Foodbank with professionalism.
JOB CONDITIONS:
Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Occasional travel may be required.
