JOB TITLE: Annual Giving Manager
STATUS: Full Time, Exempt
REPORTS TO: Sr. Director Individual Giving
DIRECT REPORTS: Annual Giving Coordinator
 

SUMMARY:  Manage a comprehensive, strategic annual giving program, including the coordination and oversight of supporting initiatives and donor relations. Engages donors through direct mail, online, electronic, and workplace solicitations, monthly giving and third party events, while enhancing donors' experiences with Mid-Ohio Foodbank.  Provide strategic long range and short range planning for growing the annual giving program and providing support for greater development goals.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Build and implement strategic and tactical plans for achieving annual giving metrics and goals.
• Coordinate high-impact communication vehicles and messaging (print and digital media) that engages and cultivates Mid-Ohio Foodbank donors.
• Develop direct mail strategies including content and segmentation of newsletters and additional communications.
• Collect and analyze data to inform strategies and evaluate their impact and success.
• Develop and maintain understanding of best practices and industry trends around direct mail. 
• Execute various donor communications in a collaborative manner.
• Manage relationship with direct mail provider/vendor.
• Manage the Leadership Annual Giving program, including cultivation and solicitation of annual gifts. 
• Work within annual giving to build strategies for moving donors to higher giving levels and develop the major gift pipeline.
• Foster the growth of best practices in donor relations as related to annual giving and Mid-Ohio Foodbank as a whole.
• Serve as a representative for Mid-Ohio Foodbank at community and third party events.
• Develop annual giving budget and manage expenses within approved budget.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
   

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education and Certifications:  Bachelors in Business, Communications, a related field or equivalent experience required. Certified Fund Raising Executive designation preferred.

Experience: At least five years of demonstrated success in fundraising or a related field with two years of annual giving experience preferred.  Demonstrated experience with direct mail, online campaigns, and donor relations.  Experience supervising and developing others, preparing & analyzing budgets, and public speaking required. 

Skills/Competencies:  Advanced written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, including political acumen to establish and maintain good working relationships throughout the organization and with outside stakeholders.  Strong leadership, managerial, and supervisory skills.  Must possess strong project management skills   Must possess strong organizational skills, be a self-starter as well as the ability to be innovative, strategic and creative thinker and problem solver.  Ability to foster and build collaboration.  Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.  Must be detail oriented, have the ability to analyze data and implement campaign strategies. 

JOB CONDITIONS:

Working Conditions:    Normal office environment.  Travels as necessary.
