Customer Service Specialist

Job Description

SUMMARY:

Schedule - 9:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

Serves as a first point of contact for visitors of the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. Also responsible for answering and routing phone calls and serves as a central information hub for the One Team.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Greets and directs walk-in and telephone visitors to appropriate MOFC areas or meeting rooms and provides non-MOFC organizations with assistance while on premises
• Sorts and delivers MOFC mail; accepts carrier deliveries and communicates with recipients
• Orders couriers as needed and provides records of pick-ups to the finance department
• Assists with financial transactions for sales, agency payments, and donations by providing receipts, cash payments, credit card payments, and/or check payments
• Assists with office supply inventory and places orders as needed
• Communicates "office supply order request" process to new MOFC staff
• Assists with Volunteer Services retention, recognition, and appreciation efforts
• Supports volunteer check-in as needed
• Assists Volunteer Services with inquiries and scheduling when available
• Announces MOFC news, events, and tours as needed
• Maintains and distributes the employee phone directory
• Conducts tours
• Participates in special projects as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education and Certifications: High-School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: One year of receptionist experience to include use of a multi-line phone system. Experience in interacting with the public. Non-Profit Experience preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft office products.

Skills/Competencies: Effective communication skills (verbal and written); must be organized and able to provide exceptional customer service.
