Development Coordinator for Mid-Ohio Foodbank

Title: Development Coordinator
Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Reports to: Director, Annual Giving
Direct Reports: None

 

SUMMARY

Responsible for coordinating general support services in the Development Department, including administrative and customer services.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Provide direction for development associates to streamline workflow and ensure effectiveness.
  • Process high priority acknowledgements.
  • Coordinate volunteer and staff thank you calls.
  • Plan volunteer projects and manage volunteers on regular and recurring work.
  • Update and maintain confidential electronic donor files according to departmental procedures.
  • Provide data entry and report generation support for direct mail projects.
  • Field calls from volunteers conducting third party events, assess support needs and coordinate internal communication regarding Mid-Ohio Foodbank involvement. 
  • Provide support for special event planning and implementation.
  • Prepare letters, emails, faxes, and other general communications.
  • Provide assistance to other development department staff as needed.
  • Participate on staff teams for a variety of departmental or agency-wide projects.
  • Conduct Foodbank tours for walk-in donors.
  • Represent Mid-Ohio Foodbank at agency fairs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required

Experience: At least one year of experience working in an administrative capacity.   Experienced using personal computers and has word processing skills.  Ability to operate a variety of office equipment.

Knowledge: Knowledge of Microsoft Office software required.  Knowledge of donor software is preferred.

Skills/Competencies: High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to represent MOF with professionalism when interacting with stakeholders.  Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.    Excellent grammar and spelling skills required.  Works well and effectively with others.  Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, be flexible, and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions:  Normal Office Environment
