Development Services Specialist

JOB TITLE: Development Services Specialist
STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Development Operations & Pipeline
Strategies Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: None
SCHEDULE: 8:4:30p M-F

SUMMARY:
Responsible for general support services for the Development Department and Development Operations team, including managing administrative and all incoming donor communication services, in support of a hybrid team.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Collaboratively field donor requests and inquiries on-site during core business hours through the department phone line, voicemail, and email inbox.

Update and maintain confidential electronic donor files according to departmental procedures, including but not limited to Case creation and resolution.

Collaboratively lead the execution of acknowledgement fulfillment, including tax-deductible and tribute gift acknowledgments, considering various treatment for gifts above and below $1K.

Facilitate the scheduling of department meetings, the setting of agendas, and administration and archiving of department documents and files.

Provide support and project coordination for cross-departmental requests such as creative briefs, data requests, etc.

 Support corporate gift matching confirmation fulfillment
 Make recommendations of tailored stewardship activities based on donor interactions.
 Carry out routine data hygiene practices in alignment with department SOPs.
 Carry out routine office activities such as typing, copying, and filing.
 Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education and Certifications: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience is required.

EXPERIENCE:
Previous customer service experience required. Experience utilizing relationship management software or databases required. Experience in an administrative support or clerical position preferred.
Ability to operate a variety of office equipment. High Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required.
Comfort and experience with answering phones required.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Grammar and spelling skills required. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, be flexible, and meet deadlines.

JOB CONDITIONS:
Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Applicants must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for employment.
