Development Specialist for Mid-Ohio Foodbank

Job Title: Development Specialist

Reports To: Development Operations Manager

Status: Full time, Non-Exempt

Direct Reports: None

SUMMARY: 

Responsible for general support services for the Development Department, including clerical and administrative services.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Update and maintain confidential electronic donor files according to departmental procedures.
• Prepare letters, emails, faxes, and other general communications.
• Carry out routine office activities such as data entry, typing, copying, and filing.
• Handle general donor calls and emails.
• Provide clerical assistance to other development department staff as needed.
• Participate on staff teams for a variety of departmental or organizational projects.
• Conduct Foodbank tours.
• Represent Mid-Ohio Foodbank at special events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: Previous customer service experience required. Previous experience in an administrative support or clerical position preferred. Ability to operate a variety of office equipment. Proficiency wiht Microsoft Office products required. 

Skills/Competencies: High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Grammar and spelling skills required. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, be flexible, and meet deadlines.

JOB CONDITIONS:

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Working Conditions:  Normal Office Environment. Occasional travel may be required.
