ERP Systems Administrator

JOB SUMMARY:

The Enterprise Resource Planner (ERP) System Administrator handles our NetSuite (ERP), Waerlinx (WMS), and integrated enterprise resource planning systems. This is a hands-on technical and leadership position that requires a strong understanding of our business models, technical systems and how they interact within the finance, programs, and warehouse operations business teams. This role partners with various departments across the organization to enhance and improve our environment, perform ongoing maintenance, provide daily support, and lead continual service improvements and integration projects. The ERP System Administrator is expected to be a subject matter expert in all aspects of NetSuite/Waerlinx and will handle supporting configurations, processes, and personnel within the organization. This position will work closely with the Senior Director of Technology, organizational leaders, and vendors to supply leadership, creative solutions, and optimization strategies. The Administrator will leverage NetSuite to provide ongoing support and optimization of all integrated applications. The responsibilities of this role also include working collaboratively with subject matter experts to define business cases, mapping process flows, and re-engineering processes when necessary.


PRIMARY DUTIES:

ERP Systems and User Support

  • Take ownership of all technical aspects of pro-actively administering ERP systems use, while ensuring audit compliance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any ERP-related issues including, but not limited to, system performance, user permissions and error messages
  • Provide ongoing ERP training for users
  • Responsible for the change management and release process of ERP related systems

Business Analysis & Thought Leadership

  • Support operational excellence by contributing to the continuous improvement of the environment, processes, and procedures
  • Communicate between departments to understand business processes and design customizations/configurations accordingly
  • Develop, document, and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure data integrity, change protocols, customization, usage, etc.

ERP Development/Integrations

  • Manage enhancement and feature requests, by documenting requirements, prioritizing, and assigning work within the ERP team and with external vendor resources
  • Develop, test, implement, and maintain customizations of ERP systems to meet evolving business needs including workflows, reports, saved searches, dashboards, form layouts and commerce portal
  • Manage, document, and configure system workflows, scripts, specific fields/forms, records, searches, reports, and integrations with third party applications/databases
  • Manage and document the process to test NetSuite releases twice per year or as needed

Data Management

  • Work across the organization to design and create reports and dashboards that deliver the data determined useful as KPIs for varying functional roles
  • Develop procedures to ensure data integrity across all systems integrated with the NetSuite environment and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure that integrations between systems are working appropriately and work with vendors as needed to address issues
  • Keep a pulse on data hygiene and help staff learn how to maximize system capabilities and avoid common errors
  • SQL query writing and updating of stored procedures

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Mathematics, Accounting, Logistics, Data Analytics or a related field, or 5+ years equivalent experience managing ERP systems. Additional, NetSuite Certified Administrator or similar Cloud ERP certification desired. Certification could be obtained on job within first year.

Experience: ERP administration and technical support, with a preference for NetSuite functional administration experience including Suite Commerce Advanced, Sales, Financial, Inventory, Purchasing and Warehouse Management modules. Practical experience in the analysis, design, and implementation of technical projects, including experience with the completion of business and functional design documents. Experience with Enterprise CRM and ERP database systems. Report writing and BI experience. Experience with Foodbanks and/or food distribution preferred.

Skills/Competencies: Effective project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Logistics, supply chain and distribution knowledge or experience. Functional knowledge of accounting principles and their relation to ERP systems.


JOB CONDITIONS:

Working Conditions: The option is available for hybrid work consisting of two days remote and three days in the office.
