SUMMARY: Coordinates the maintenance and upkeep of Mid-Ohio Foodbank facilities. Assist with oversight of external vendors performing contracted facilities and building maintenance.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Assists with management of external contractors performing facility and building maintenance.
- Serves as first point of contact for facility and building maintenance issues.
- Partners with Facilities/Maintenance Manager to uncover and remedy any facilities and building issues.
- Maintains supply of tools and equipment used to perform repair and maintenance work. Orders new tools and equipment as needed.
- Meets with external contractors and assesses capability to perform work.
- Performs general maintenance and upkeep of MOF facilities and exterior, including snow removal.
- Respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours.
- Participates in special projects as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education and Certifications: High School Diploma required.
Experience: At least three years of building maintenance experience including; electrical, remodeling, construction, and HVAC systems. Working knowledge of commercial electrical, remodeling, construction, and HVAC. Knowledge of external contractor market and current commercial building codes. Working knowledge of control systems. Working knowledge of forklifts, and warehouse operations.
Skills/Competencies: Good general commercial construction and building maintenance skills. Good computer skills. Must be able to multi-task and have good verbal/written communications skills as job will interact with all levels of management.
JOB CONDITIONS:
Working Conditions: Safety sensitive position due to regular interaction with heavy machinery. Must be able to: perform moderate to heavy physical labor (lift 30 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally). Daily walking, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling. Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching. Must work in refrigerated and sub-freezing temperatures for extended periods of time. Some night and weekend work required. Applicants must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for employment.
