JOB TITLE: Grants Coordinator
STATUS: Full-time, Exempt
REPORTS TO: Grants Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: None
SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting and coordinating the administrative aspects of the Mid-Ohio Foodbank (MOF) grant process including: prospect identification, donor outreach and cultivation, preparing and submitting proposals and writing reports to secure grant funding to further Mid-Ohio Foodbank's mission.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Research, identify and prepare documentation related to potential funding opportunities that will support MOF programs and goals.
- Prepare materials and information for use in pre- and post-grant meetings with team members and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Check-in, review and assist in reporting on all submitted applications, contracts, financial reports and other documentation.
- Compile and track program data, statistics and financial information for grant activity reporting system and related files
- Coordinate grant reporting schedules, reporting responsibilities and prepare necessary reports to comply with grant requirements
- Coordinate all post-award administrative activities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with team members and grant funders
- Provide support to Grant Manager and/or appropriate team members in the development of grant applications.
- Identifies and helps coordinate appropriate resources needed to address tasks to be performed or data to be gathered in support of the writing and submission process
- Assist with the grant writing and submission process as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education and Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in related field is preferred.
Experience: Experience in prospect research and identification, data collection and analysis, outcome measurements and reporting results. Knowledge of community, corporate and family foundations in MOF service area. Demonstrated knowledge of fundraising and proven success of goal attainment. Knowledge of grant research and proposal writing practices and principles.
Skills/Competencies: Proficiency with Microsoft tools, excellent written and oral communication skills. Must possess outstanding research, writing, proof reading, planning, organizing, conceptual and strategic/critical thinking skills. Must be able to communicate in a compelling and succinct manner. Ability to work independently as well as with a team. Must be able to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and be flexible to changing priorities.
JOB CONDITIONS:
Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Occasional travel may be required.
