JOB TITLE: Graphic Designer
STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Creative Services Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: None
 

SUMMARY:  The graphic designer is responsible for creating visually appealing materials that communicate information to support awareness of Mid-Ohio Foodbank and its mission using a variety of mediums.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Design and create printed and digital communications assets and collateral for the organization.
• Produce graphics, layouts, and various content of finished artwork and/or illustrations.
• Coordinate with creative team on printing specifications and production requirements of materials.
• Evaluate and assesses materials to ensure accuracy and brand compliance in the design.
• Ensure that brand consistency is integrated into all organizational materials.
• Collaborate with Public Relations Manager and IT Coordinator on web content, style compliance and presentation.
• Assist with photography and video, including some arranging and editing as necessary.
• Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.
• Proofread to ensure accurate and high-quality work.
• Participate in special projects as requested.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education and Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or related field is required.

Experience:  At least 3 years of design experience is required.  Agency experience strongly preferred.  Non-profit experience is preferred. Strong time management and resource management skill with experience working between multiple creative projects is preferred.

Skills/Competencies:  Proficiency with Microsoft Office, The Creative Suite and illustration capabilities required.  Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.  Creative thinker.  Excellent presentation skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, willingness to adjust to changing priorities and excellent interpersonal skills are required.

Working Conditions:  Normal Office Environment, ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
