JOB TITLE: Human Resources Generalist
REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources
STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt
SUMMARY: The Human Resources Generalist is a key member of the HR team and will have responsibility for a number of projects and activities that support the Human Resources department. The position provides value to the organization through efforts including project management, reporting, recruitment, training and development and compliance.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Manages recruitment effort for MOF team members including sourcing, scheduling, tracking and communications; administers testing per organizational standards
- Coordinates the on-boarding/off-boarding process for team members
- Assists in developing, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance through completion of annual updates and reporting requirements
- Maintains organization charts and staffing plans
- Leads the creation of departmental communications (announcements, newsletters, updates, etc.)
- Maintains knowledge of HR policies, programs, laws and issues and coordinates the integration of programs as applicable.
- Works collaboratively with MOF team members and external partners to ensure strong working relationships
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment in conjunction with the Safety Manager
- Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database; prepares various weekly and monthly statistical reports for HR Department, Leadership and Executive Teams.
- Maintains records including personnel files, leaves, training, etc. in accordance with regulations and guidelines
- Manages wellness initiatives and oversees the organization's Wellness Committee
- Assists in evaluation of reports and results of department in relation to established goals.
- Participates in a cross-functional team structure to ensure organizational priorities and goals are met.
- Coordinates multiple projects that vary in complexity, size, and duration and develops and implements work plans and related processes to ensure that project goals and objectives are met.
- Participates in activities that strengthen existing or guide the development of new collaborations that advance MOF's mission and the organizational culture.
- Participates in special projects and other duties as requested
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three years of diverse HR experience with in-depth experience in full cycle recruitment. Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of Federal and state regulations sufficient to execute duties in an effective and compliant manner. Experience developing and facilitating training preferred. Knowledge of HRIS's preferred.
Skills/Competencies: Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution techniques. Ability to represent MOF with professionalism when interacting stakeholders. Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
