SUMMARY: Are you passionate about technology and our mission to end hunger? If so, Mid-Ohio Foodbank (MOF) is seeking paid summer internships in the Information Technology department. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity to learn what it is like to work in IT and gain hands-on experience. The IT Team at MOF consists of five (5) team members who are responsible for MOF's infrastructure, networks, websites, servers, applications, computers, and all things technology. A few areas of the business we support are the Food Pantry, Farm, Warehouse, and various departments such as HR, Finance, Marketing, and Agency Services. The duties are listed below however there is potential opportunity to work on other projects relating to security, data, cloud services, disaster recovery, data backups, and network optimization. We were categorized as essential business at the start of the pandemic therefore we are working on-site in the Grove City office, wearing masks, and maintaining protocols for a safe work environment.


PRIMARY DUTIES:
Implements, updates, and maintains computer systems for Mid-Ohio Foodbank (MOF)
Provide support in diagnosing hardware and software issues and troubleshooting activities
Assists the service desk staff of two (2) with end-user tickets
Performs technology research and configuration of new or existing technology
Documents configurations and settings
Participates in special technology projects as assigned
Assists team with inventory management project
Provides application support in conjunction with other IT Team Members
Performs other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Experience: Basic knowledge of computer troubleshooting in a primarily Microsoft Windows/Office environment. An understanding of networking principals including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NAT, network routing is a bonus. Proficient in Microsoft Office software. Any skills relating to the Office365 migration would be helpful, not required.


Skills/Competencies: From an entry-level perspective: Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and configure computers, servers, printers, and all other supporting user technology. Must be able to represent Mid-Ohio Foodbank with professionalism when interacting with staff and MOF guests. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a team player attitude.
