JOB TITLE: Inventory Receiving Lead                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         REPORTS TO: Inventory Manager                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   DIRECT REPORTS: None

SUMMARY:  This position is responsible for receiving food products including quality inspections, unloading trucks, processing paperwork, labeling, product cycling and storage.  Plans for daily receiving, shipping and replenishment schedules and coordinates with Inventory team to achieve daily goals.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Coordinates workflow daily with Receiving Specialists for receiving and put-away of product as well as loading of outbound trucks
• Leads the replenishment of pull locations daily for order selectors
• Performs a variety of general duties including loading, unloading, inspection and proper storage of food products
• Loads orders onto trucks for delivery to agencies.  Completes bill of lading and assign seal number.  Tags and shrink wraps skids to maintain safe transport and delivery of product
• Provides accurate product information via internal forms to Inventory Manage/Specialist
• Ensures that first-in-first-expired methodology is used for each order transaction
• Input product information and maintains the WMS locator tool
• Assist with cycle counts as needed
• Follows all Food Safety guidelines for receiving, storage and distribution
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following safety practices and policies
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of food distribution areas
• Participates in special projects at the request of the Inventory Manager
• Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education and Certifications: High School Diploma/GED required. Food Safety Certification (provided by Mid-Ohio Foodbank).

Experience:  Minimum of one year of warehouse experience including use of forklift (propane and electric) and electric hand jack (4ft and 8ft). Working knowledge of general warehouse machinery and operations.  Knowledge of quality control practices and procedures.

Skills/Competencies:  Good math skills.  Good customer service skills.   Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and in a team environment.

JOB CONDITIONS:

Working Conditions:  Warehouse environment.  Safety sensitive position due to regular interaction with heavy machinery. Must be able to perform moderate to heavy physical labor (lift  30 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally).  Daily walking, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling (300 lbs. with use of manual pallet jack). Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching.  Must work in constantly changing climate temperatures. Must work in sub-freezing temperatures for extended periods of time. Some night and weekend work required.
