JOB TITLE: ORDERS & CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST

STATUS: FULL-TIME, NON-EXEMPT

REPORTS TO: ORDERS & CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER

DIRECT REPORTS: NONE

HOURS: 7:30-4:15P MONDAY-FRIDAY

SUMMARY:  Responsible for supporting daily sync of customer orders with inventory; processing customer order; coordinating registration for special holiday food distributions for MOF partner agencies and providing administrative support to the Agency & Program Service team. Serves as back-up to Agency & Program Services front desk. 

 PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Processes paperwork for produce distribution and special programs
  • Performs sync of customer orders to inventory management system and prints orders for the warehouse twice a week
  • Serves as backup at Agency & Program Services front desk
  • Opens Agency & Program Service lobby each morning
  • Serves as backup for Produce Wednesday distributions: sends out registration forms; registers agencies when they come in; directs them to the floor; process paperwork
  • Provides administrative support to Agency & Program Services team, including but not limited to filing partner invoices; downloading new partner applications from online application tool to server file; entering benefit application data into OBB tool; entering service statistics for produce programs
  • Coordinates and manages registration process for holiday food distribution to agency partners
  • Works closely with Inventory and Warehouse teams to investigate & resolve discrepancies with orders
  • Assist in Agency & Program Services projects as necessary
  • Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  High school diploma or GED required.

Licenses/Designations: Complete Ohio Benefit Bank Training and Food Safety training. These trainings will be coordinated by Mid-Ohio Foodbank for the selected candidate.

Experience:  At least one year of experience in an order processing function or administrative support role is preferred. Customer service or other position working with external customers is required.  

Knowledge:  Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Outlook.  Knowledge of database operations.

Skills/Competencies:    Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.  Strong communication and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.  Willingness to adjust to changing priorities.  Good interpersonal skills.  Candidates must represent Mid-Ohio Foodbank with professionalism when interacting with clients, volunteers, community members and Foodbank staff.
