Program Coordinator - Commodity Supplemental Food Program

JOB SUMMARY:

Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC) is looking for a Program Coordinator to help support our Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). In collaboration with the Manager of Senior Hunger Programs, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and building capacity for CSFP programming that addresses the needs of food-insecure senior populations. This position will also provide logistics, programmatic and administrative support to broaden the scope of CSFP and partnerships as they relate to senior hunger.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, nurture and manage ongoing relationships with coordinators at CSFP sites.
• Offer technical assistance and capacity building support/guidance to partner agencies.
• Assist in centralizing the administration of CSFP applications in the network and play lead role in the management of these applications.
• Onboard CSFP sites to CSFP management software and support and train sites as new systems and protocols evolve.
• Support and oversee logistics for MOFC CSFP delivery programs.
• Process quarterly CSFP invoices from partner agencies.
• Assist with monitoring of CSFP sites and other senior programs.
• Conduct surveys with program partners and customers to better understand the needs of the communities and populations served through program initiatives.
• Provide program information/statistics to Manager of Senior Hunger Programs.
• Work cross functionally to ensure CSFP food is ordered, staged, and available to program sites on time and according to program standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Certifications: A minimum of a High School diploma is required. Two years of community college or bachelor's degree preferred.

Licenses/Designations: Valid driver's license. Food Safety Training (provided by MOFC)

Experience: At least three years of experience working with community-based programs, preference given to those with direct experience working with senior populations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must have strong administration and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-centered environment. Proven success in achieving set goals. Effective communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Attention to detail. Willingness to adjust to changing priorities and learn new systems as appropriate. Good interpersonal skills. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office applications.

JOB CONDITIONS:

This position is fully remote, and the majority of time will be spent travelling to partner agencies and area meetings in our 20-County service area. Reliable transportation is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to lift 40 pounds.
