REPORTS TO:

Franklin County Agency Relations Manager

DIRECT REPORTS:

None

SUMMARY: Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC) Program Coordinator supports the coordination, training, implementation and capacity building of fresh food and meal programs and helps connect agency partners with additional community-based resources.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Monitor produce and meal sites annually to provide technical assistance and assure agencies meet all compliance requirements
  • Establish and manage relationships with coordinators at produce and meal sites in high-need communities across the MOFC service area.
  • Initiate contact with new partners; facilitate new site orientations and train on FreshTrak data system.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and group trainings to build partnership capacity: develop ability to distribute more meals, collaborate with other feeding programs to effectively support the needs of a given geography/neighborhood, connect and refer households served with other support services and benefit programs available
  • Develop annual produce distribution plan for Franklin County.
  • Maintain produce program delivery calendars/schedule and coordinate with transportation team regarding scheduling accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date toolkits and agreements for all produce programs.
  • Coordinate the One-Time Only community events applications and communicate with Orders and Customer Service on event details.
  • Assist in conducting surveys with produce partners and clients to better understand the impact of providing fresh foods in high-need communities.
  • Maintain, review, and update partner files, certifications and program files. Provide information for grants, outreach, media, as needed.
  • Travel regularly within MOFC service area to visit existing and potential program sites, occasional Saturdays are included, as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education and Certifications: Two years of college or technical degree required. Bachelor Degree preferred. Must have a valid Driver's License. Food Safety Certification (provided by Mid-Ohio Food Collective).

Experience: At least two year's experience working/volunteering with community-based or non-profit programs

Skills/Competencies: Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proven success in achieving set goals. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Willingness to adjust to changing priorities. Good interpersonal skills. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office applications.

JOB CONDITIONS:

Working Conditions: This position is remote and does require frequent travel to partner sites across the MOFC service 20-county area and also availability to attend MOFC on-site meetings. Reliable transportation is required. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs. while working at produce events sites. Normal office environment. Applicants must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for employment.
