Seasonal Development Assistant for the Mid-Ohio Foodbank

JOB TITLE: Seasonal Development Assistant (3 openings)

STATUS: Part time, Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Development

DIRECT REPORTS: None

HOURS: These positions are scheduled to begin in October and conclude at the end of January 2020. Approximately, 25-30 Hours per week will be scheduled within our normal business hours of 8:00-4:30 Monday-Friday.

SUMMARY: Responsible for general support services for the Development Department, including clerical and administrative services.

Partial list of duties:

• Handles confidential financial donations according to departmental procedures.
• Carries out routine office activities such as data entry, preparing letters, copying, typing, and filing.
• Provides clerical assistance to other Development Department Staff, as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education and Certifications: High School Diploma/GED required.

Experience:  Previous customer service experience required. Previous experience in an administrative support or clerical position preferred. Ability to operate a variety of office equipment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required.  High level of attention to detail and accuracy. 

Skills/Competencies:  High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Grammar and spelling skills required. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, be flexible, and meet deadlines. Flexibility to quickly change course to accommodate the workload and changing priorities.
