Job Description

JOB TITLE:

Seasonal Development Operations Specialist

STATUS:

Part Time, Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO:

Director of Development Operations

DIRECT REPORTS:

None

Shift Schedule: 25-30 hours per week between 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.

Reports To: Development Operations & Pipeline Strategies Manager

SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining donor records, entering donations in the database, and general support services for donors and Development team members including reports, clerical and administrative services.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Update and maintain confidential electronic donor files according to departmental procedures.
  • Collaboratively process and enter all gifts into database including gifts received through lockbox, ACH transfer, utilizing and shaping Standard Operating Procedures to ensure accuracy of data through multiple streams.
  • Provide support to Development team in the form of record updates, reporting requests, and donor stewardship support.
  • Support acknowledgement fulfillment, including tax-deductible and tribute gift acknowledgments.
  • Support fielding of donor requests and inquiries through the department email inbox, phone line, and voicemail.
  • Manage corporate gift matching confirmation fulfillment.
  • Prepare letters, emails, faxes, and other general communications as needed.
  • Carry out routine office activities such as typing, copying, and filing as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education and Certifications: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience is required.

Experience: Previous customer service experience required. Experience utilizing relationship management software or databases required. Experience in an administrative support or clerical position preferred. Ability to operate a variety of office equipment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required.

Skills/Competencies: High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Grammar and spelling skills required. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, be flexible, and meet deadlines.

JOB CONDITIONS:

Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Applicants must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for employment.
