Seasonal Program Coordinator
JOB TITLE: Seasonal Program Manager (Child and Senior Programs)
REPORTS TO: Programs Manager
STATUS: Temporary, Part Time, Non-Exempt
SUMMARY: Mid-Ohio Foodbank's (MOF) Program Coordinator will work with existing program sites and recruit/train new program sites to deliver feeding services to vulnerable audiences that align with program standards and evaluation criteria outline by Program Manager.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Continue day-to-day management of Mid-Ohio Foodbank direct service programs in-high need communities across the MOF service area (CSFP, BackPack, Mobile Market)
- Nurture and manage ongoing relationships with coordinators at program sites. Serve as point of contact for coordinators at program sites. Responsible for offering technical assistance and capacity building support/guidance for services delivered through MOF programs
- Travel regularly within MOF service area to visit existing and potential program sites
- Provide program information/statistics to Program Manager on time and in the proper reporting format
- Assist in conducting surveys with program partners and clients to better understand the needs of the communities and populations served through program initiatives
- Work with food resourcing, warehouse and orders teams to ensure food for programs is ordered, staged and made available to program sites on time and according to program standards (accurate orders & quality product)
- Work with Program Manager and Director of Nutrition to ensure food ordered for the program and nutrition education materials distributed through programs are appropriate and relevant to population served
- Participates in special projects and other duties as requested
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education and Certifications: Two years of college or technical degree required. Bachelor Degree preferred. Must have a valid Driver's License. Food Safety Certification (provided by Mid-Ohio Foodbank).
Experience: At least two years of experience working with community-based programs. Must have a clear understanding of effective program design, implementation and evaluations strategies.
Skills/Competencies: Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proven success in achieving set goals. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Willingness to adjust to changing priorities. Good interpersonal skills. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office applications.
JOB CONDITIONS:
Working Conditions Normal office environment. Occasional travel is required. Reliable transportation is required.
