JOB TITLE: Volunteer Operations Specialist STATUS: Full Time, Exempt

REPORTS TO: Volunteer Operations Manager DIRECT REPORTS: None

SUMMARY:

The Sr Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting with the reporting, financial planning and analysis tasks for the organization. These include Budgets, Forecasts, periodic Reporting and various Analysis. The Sr Financial Analyst should be an organized professional with an eye for detail; reliable; self-motivated and work collaboratively with other functions.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Help design and develop the monthly reporting package. Primarily responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of internal Financial reporting.

• Investigate and provide drivers of performance and variances. Proactively identify areas needing financial improvement.
• Assist/present financial reviews as needed.
• Assist building models and system/s for Budgets/Forecasts; as well as enhancements and upgrades,
• Primarily responsible for the accurate and timely input of budget/forecast information; version management and related reporting.
• Assist with tasks related to the enhancements and upgrades of various financial systems.
• Assist the development, and primarily responsible for producing Financial ratios and metrics.
• Help develop and produce trackers for various organizational performance and economic trends.
• Help develop and produce financial benchmarking measures against other relevant organizations.
• Help develop and produce financial models to evaluate optimal business decisions ' Capital justification, lease vs buy, etc.
• Provide back-up for key finance and accounting operations.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures manual for key finance operations.
• Collaborate across functions and MOFC partners as required. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting required.

Experience:

Minimum of five years of Finance experience including Budgets/Forecasts, Reporting and Financial Analysis.

Advanced skills in Excel.

High proficiency in Financial and Productivity systems.

Non-profit experience preferred.

Skills/Competencies: Ability to manage competing priorities and adhere to deadlines. Strong EQ, analytical and quantitative skills. Excellent in Financial and Productivity software. Strong foundation in economic principles, NFP finance and accounting, analytical skills and communication skills. Strong verbal, non-verbal written, analytical and persuasive skills. Ability to work collaboratively and independently, and be self-directed.

JOB CONDITIONS:

Working Conditions: Normal office environment.
