Job Title: Senior Hunger Manager

Reports To: Director of Programs and Agency Partnerships

Status: Full-Time, Exempt

SUMMARY

• In collaboration with the Director of Programs and Agency Partnerships, drive development and execution of strategies and programming that address the needs of food-insecure senior populations. Network and sustain community-wide partnerships that address senior hunger. Build collaborations that broaden the scope of programs and partnerships for the organization as they relate to Senior Hunger.
• Lead the effort to contact, on-board and train organizational partners to host Mid-Ohio Foodbank direct service programs in-high need communities across the MOF service area to include CSFP, Senior Mobile Markets, Senior Meal Programs, and Produce programs at Senior meal sites.
• In collaboration with the Director of Programs and Agency Partnerships define capacity and effectiveness of programs and determine strategies for potential expansion and implementing of new program models.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Ensure MOF partners operate according to regulations and guidelines set by Mid-Ohio Foodbank, Feeding America, Ohio Association of Foodbanks, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services & United States Department of Agriculture (USDA
• Develop, nurture and manage ongoing relationships with coordinators at program sites. Serve as point of contact for coordinators at program sites. Responsible for offering technical assistance and capacity building support/guidance for services delivered through MOF programs.
• In collaboration with Director of Programs and Agency Partnerships conduct surveys with program partners and customers to better understand the needs of the communities and populations served through program initiatives.
• Provide program information/statistics to Director of Programs and Agency Partnerships on time and in the proper reporting format.
• Work with food resourcing, warehouse and orders teams to ensure food for programs is ordered, staged and made available to program sites on time and according to program standards (accurate orders & quality product).
• Travel regularly within MOF service area to visit existing and potential program sites

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education: Two years of college or technical degree required. Bachelor Degree preferred.

Licenses/Designations: Valid driver's license. Food Safety Training (provided by MOF)

Experience: At least three experience working with community-based programs, preference given to those with direct experience working with senior populations. Must have a clear understanding of effective program development, implementation and evaluation strategies.

Skills/Competencies: Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proven success in achieving set goals. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Willingness to adjust to changing priorities. Good interpersonal skills. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office applications.

Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Travels within Foodbank territory as necessary.
