Strategic Solutions Specialist for Mid-Ohio Foodbank

REPORTS TO: Strategic Solutions Developer

DIRECT REPORTS: None

STATUS: Full-time, Non-exempt

SUMMARY: 

Reporting to  the Strategic Solutions Developer, this position supports and maintains the implementation, training, and support-desk tasks associated with critical client/public facing systems (PantryTrak, HungerTrak and AgencyTrak ).

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Prepare data sets from PantryTrak and standardized data sets using MySQL to prepare data from relational databases.
• Work in conjunction with agency services to create a tailored solution for the needs of strategic multi-service partners.
• Work with other MOF staff to create a tailored solution for the needs of partners not currently involved with emergency feeding.
• Uses PantryTrak administrative tools to manage routine cleanup, merging, and matching of records.
• Works with the community of users and stakeholders to document system enhancements and new features.
• Manage relationships with established foodbank partners, and serve as their first level of technical support.
• Work with agencies already using PantryTrak to deepen their usage of the system for additional data capture and program support.
• Act as a liaison to Agency Services to provide specialized training and routine support of their work with MOF agencies.
• Serve as a Peer-Mentor and central coordination body for VISTAs at other foodbanks with little centralized management.
• Create documents and presentations in specific subject areas to invest in the skillsets of other food bank staff.
• Create documents and presentations in specific subject areas to document system enhancements and new features.
• Train Foodbanks on how to do new nontraditional implementations.
• Plan and carry out routine train-the-trainer events for AmeriCorps VISTAs and other food bank staff.
• Teach partner food banks to assess viability of data sets for import and complete the import process once data is received.
• Manage the process and logistics of bringing up new foodbanks.
• Examine a food bank's current data capture, and regulatory environment and prescribe the PantryTrak integration.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. Valid Driver's License required.

Experience: Minimum of one year of Foodbank/Agency experience required. One year of working knowledge and experience with PantryTrak or similar point-of-service client management system. One year of experience and practical application of relational databases and reporting systems. Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Sharepoint. Advanced knowledge of web development languages and systems preferred (including HTML, PHP, CSS, JQuery/Java Script, MySQL, msSQL).

Skills/Competencies: Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to represent MOF with professionalism when interacting with stakeholders.

JOB CONDITIONS:

Working Conditions:  Normal Office Environment. Travels within Foodbank territory as necessary.
