Systems Administrator
JOB TITLE: SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
STATUS: FULL-TIME, EXEMPT
REPORTS TO: SENIOR DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
DIRECT REPORTS: NONE
SUMMARY: Implements, updates, and maintains user computers and devices for Mid-Ohio Foodbank (MOF). Responsible for the general health and security of the user systems and related hardware. Provides technical support for staff, volunteers, vendors and agencies. Serves as a backup to other members of the Technology department and cross-trains with the team for application support and special projects. Assists the Senior Director of Information Technology in planning and developing the annual technology budget.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Implements, updates, and maintains computer systems for Mid-Ohio Foodbank (MOF)
- Implements new hardware and software solutions
- Performs technology research and configuration of new or existing technology
- Serves as primary contact for help desk and technical support to MOF staff and guests
- Provides technical support and technology training for special projects and initiatives
- Documents configurations and settings
- Participates in technology budget recommendations
- Represents IT department on focus groups and committees
- Participates in special technology projects as assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Responsible for asset management (inventory)
- Resolve technical issues in a timely manner using available resources within the company
- Responsible for new user setup and desktop/laptop deployment using an imaging system process
- Provides application support in conjunction with other IT Team Members
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education and Certifications: Associates Degree in an IT related field or completion of vocational/technical/business school or equivalent IT experience required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: At least 3 years of technology, network, Microsoft Windows experience required. Strong knowledge of computer troubleshooting. An understanding of networking principals including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NAT, network routing, basic firewall rules. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, network security, and Active Directory. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and/or Office 365.
Skills/Competencies: Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and configure computers, servers, printers, and all other supporting user technology. Must be able to represent Mid-Ohio Foodbank with professionalism when interacting with staff and MOF guests. Excellent communication skills with a team player attitude.
JOB CONDITIONS:
Working Conditions: Normal office environment. May include some evening or weekend work.
