Training and Support Specialist

JOB TITLE: Training and Support Specialist

REPORTS TO: Strategic Solutions Developer

STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt

DIRECT REPORTS: None

 

SUMMARY:  The Training and Support Specialist is responsible for providing training to food banks and their agencies as well as supporting them in using and maintaining PantryTrak.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Work with Agency Services to provide troubleshooting, specialized training, and routine support of their work with MOF agencies and partners.
  • Uses PantryTrak administrative tools to manage routine cleanup, merging, and matching of records.
  • Travel to other food banks and assist them with routine and specialized trainings of their agencies.
  • Plan and carry out routine train-the-trainer events for AmeriCorps VISTAs, other food bank staff and partners.
  • Assist other food banks with their agencies that are already using PantryTrak to deepen their usage of the system for additional data capture and program support.
  • Assist other food banks in creating tailored solutions for the needs of partners not currently involved with emergency feeding.
  • Maintain the on-going support of PantryTrak through the Help Desk, Knowledge Base, and Training Classes/materials.
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting to established food bank partners.
  • Works with community of users and food banks to communicate updates, changes, and new features to the PantryTrak community.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education and Certifications: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred. Valid Driver’s License required.

Experience:  Minimum one year of Foodbank/Agency experience required. One year of working knowledge and experience with PantryTrak or similar point-of-service client management system. One year of experience and practical application of relational databases and reporting systems. Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Sharepoint.

Skills/Competencies:  Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to represent MOF with professionalism when interacting with stakeholders.

 

JOB CONDITIONS:

Working Conditions:  Normal office environment. Travels within and out of state as necessary.
