TITLE: Warehouse Operations Coordinator
STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Dry Products Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: None

SUMMARY: Provides day-to-day guidance and training for Mid-Ohio Foodbank (MOF) warehouse employees. Assists department managers in supervising daily operations throughout the Warehouse.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Acts as a backup for Operations Managers (Dry, Perishable, Volunteer, Inventory) when necessary.
• Provides guidance to warehouse staff regarding operational procedures and practices.
• Performs training for all new team members, as well as continuing training for current team members.
• Partners with Safety Manager to identify and remedy safety concerns and champions weekly safety meetings.
• Provides administrative support for day-to-day document prep and processing.
• Manages warehouse cleaning program. Serves as final housekeeping and security inspector before closing up the warehouse.
• Coordinates bi-weekly watering of equipment.
• Prepares invoices for agencies to be delivered by truck drivers.
• Assist as needed for cycle/replenishment counts and inventory of pick bins.
• Performs daily audits on rural, contiguous and local orders.
• Assist daily breaks and lunch coverage for Distribution Clerk.
• Provides support in high demand times for picking and packing orders (Dry, Perishable and Frozen).
• Maintains Chep, regular wood pallet and Tosca RPC program.
• Facilitates Bimbo bread program (receipting, rotation, returns)
• Develops and evaluates process flows and creates standard operating procedures (SOP's).
• Regularly reviews and actively forecasts labor needs in conjunction with operations management.
• Remains familiar with and complies with all Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental laws and regulations.
• Assists Operations Managers with special projects and activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education and Certifications: High School Diploma/GED Required. Food Safety Certification (provided by Mid-Ohio Foodbank). First Aid/CPR Certification preferred (may be provided by Mid-Ohio Foodbank).

Experience: Minimum of three years of warehouse experience including use of forklift (propane and electric), electric pallet jacks/riders (4ft and 8ft) is required. One year of supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of general warehouse machinery operations. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point. Good understanding of principles of Logistics and Distribution. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, principles of management, and budgeting preferred.

Skills/Competencies: Must have good customer skills and mathematical skills. Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and in a team environment.

JOB CONDITIONS:

Working Conditions: Warehouse environment. Safety sensitive position due to regular interaction with heavy machinery. Must be able to: perform moderate to heavy physical labor (lift 30 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally). Daily walking, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling (300 lbs. with use of manual pallet jack.). Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching. Must work in sub-freezing temperatures for extended periods of time. Some night and weekend work required.
